Frequently Asked Question
What are your delivery methods and costs?
The delivery of your table will be within three days of completion, via specialist furniture couriers. Delivery price is included within your personalised quote, so there are no additional costs to you.
If you live in the East Midlands, and you would prefer, we may offer to personally deliver and assemble your table, free of charge.
How long does it take to build my table?
Each table takes around three weeks to create, reflecting the care and craftsmanship that goes into every stage of the build. This ensures we can give your table the attention it needs — from timber selection to final finish — without ever compromising on quality.
Do you use only live-edge wood for your tables?
Yes. We work exclusively with live‑edge timber because nothing else captures the same natural beauty, character, and individuality. Every piece of wood has its own story, and preserving that organic edge is what gives each table its unique presence.
What finish do you add to the tables?
Our preferred method of finishing is with Odie’s Oil. This leaves a beautiful matt finish, that is entirely non-toxic and brings out the best of the wood. Odie’s Oil resists stains, moisture, and water as well as wine, oil and grease.
We recognise however that finishing can be a personal choice. Should you prefer a glossier finish to your table, this can be arranged. When you order, we will confirm with you your preference of finish.
What is your returns policy?
Riviere coffee tables come with a lifetime guarantee. In the unlikely event that your table develops a fault, we will repair it free of charge or offer a refund. This guarantee covers craftsmanship issues but not accidental damage. Simply get in touch and we’ll arrange everything with you.
Can live‑edge wood change over time?
Live‑edge timber is a natural material, so it can subtly respond to changes in temperature and humidity in your home. On rare occasions, this movement may lead to small cracks or checks forming. This isn’t a sign of a fault — it’s simply the wood behaving naturally.
If it ever happens, it can usually be repaired with ease as part of your lifetime guarantee, or you may choose to leave it as part of the table’s evolving character. Many people feel these tiny changes add to the authenticity and charm of genuine live‑edge furniture.
